Heritage Custom Meats LLC is a reputable meat processor located in Nappanee, IN, that has been serving Elkhart County since 2022. Specializing in deer processing, meat processing, and meat smoking, we offer a range of high-quality services to meet your needs. From boneless venison to carcasses, our skilled team ensures top-notch processing and smoking techniques.

Hellmuth Beef Farms also has honey available year round.

Deboned Meat Processing (Welcome Anytime!)
Have your own deboned venison or other wild game ready for processing? We gladly accept it. Our team treats your meat with the same quality standards as whole-animal processing, delivering consistent, professional results with every batch.
Smoked Meats: Enjoy rich, old-fashioned smokehouse flavor with our premium smoked meat services. We use traditional smoking methods that bring out the best in every cut—slow, steady, and perfectly seasoned. From jerky and sausage to classic smoked cuts, everything is crafted for exceptional taste and quality.
Deeritos (Venison Burritos): A customer favorite! Our signature Deeritos are made with fried venison seasoned with sweet onion flavoring, combined with refried beans, wrapped in a tortilla, and deep-fried to golden perfection. They’re hearty, flavorful, and unlike anything else—perfect for stocking the freezer or enjoying fresh.
Fresh Strawberries (In Season): When strawberry season arrives, Heritage Custom Meats offers fresh, locally grown strawberries bursting with sweetness. Whether you're baking, preserving, or snacking straight from the container, our seasonal berries are picked for peak ripeness and incredible flavor.

What services do you offer?

We specialize in deer processing, meat smoking, and general meat processing. Whether you need boneless venison, carcass processing, or smoked meat, our team ensures top-quality results.

When are you open for business?

We are open seasonally from October 1st to January 31st. We have fresh strawberries available in the summer, check back for updates --we will have it listed in our FAQs section if/when strawberries are available. Additionally, we open early for the youth deer hunting season in September (2026 dates TBD).

Do you accept deboned meat?

Yes! We welcome deboned meat for processing and smoking services.

What unique products do you offer?

One of our specialties is “Deeritos”—a venison burrito made with fried venison, sweet onion seasoning, refried beans, wrapped in a shell, and deep-fried. We also offer smoked venison and other custom meat options.
